“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan]
for good to and for those who love God and are called according to
[His] design and purpose.”
It is with the love of Christ that I greet each of you as we enter the dawn of a new decade under the year of “2020”.
As I embark upon my second term as your president, I thank God for another opportunity to serve Him and this great Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina body of Christian believers. My appreciation and gratitude to the officers, Executive Board, Committee Chairpersons and its members, delegates and friends for your prayers and continued support of kingdom work for such a time as this.
I wish there was a way that I could individually and personally thank every delegate for the spirit of love and cooperation you brought to the 131st Annual Convention in Sumter, South Carolina. The Spirit of the Lord was manifested, and excitement reigned throughout the week.
As we move into “2020”, I can truly say: we are stronger, wiser, better, much better by the grace of God. I look forward to greeting each of you at the 132nd Annual Convention as we convene in Spartanburg, South Carolina on June 15th -19th. Working together for success is our aim; remembering that all we do should be for the glory and honor of God.
My sincere prayer is that our convention theme “Serving with Purpose and Dedication: Proclaiming and Demonstrating the Love of God to the World” will guide us as we continue to work in unity to carry out our many programs and projects.
I solicit your prayers and support under the banner of love and service as we confront the many challenges in this ever-changing world. Much work remains to be accomplished as we go forward serving as “CONDUCTORS” and “CONNECTORS” for our Heavenly Father.
In His Service I remain,
Hilda D. Gadsden
