Welcome to the
Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary
Convention of South Carolina
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I am delighted to pen greetings to you as we approach another year of service. Happy New Year!
God has given them a desire to know the future. He does everything just right and on time, but people can never completely understand what he is doing. Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
Let us rejoice together in the great things that the Lord has done!
During the year 2021, we will focus on the theme: "Focusing on These Three in "2021" Charge – Change – Challenge." We must remember the tremendous responsibility that is ours to work so our Convention, our churches, and our communities would experience the unlimited power of God. At the same time, He equips and uses us as His EYES, HANDS, AND FEET for His glory and the enhancement of all humanity.
133rd ANNUAL CONVENTION, June 14-18, 2021. We will convene in Spartanburg, South Carolina. As your President, I am diligently keeping up with the CDC news and SCDHEC guidelines, the progress of the COVID-19 Virus, and medical experts' advisement. The well-being of our sisters is always our main concern. I know without a doubt that our God is in control and His timing is still the right time.
Our Convention in 2020, through its leadership and its membership, has carried out the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a shining bright light in outstanding Christian Leadership during challenging times. Thank you for supporting the Woman's Convention and its auxiliaries with your faithful service and financial contribution. May God bless you!
As we move forward in planning for upcoming events, we invite you to stay informed of our Convention's work through regular visits to the website wbemcsc.org. For the dates, please view the Event page of the website.
In pursuit of oneness, I encourage and invite all Executive Board members, Committee Chairs, Association/Union/District Presidents and Delegates, along with our partners and friends, to join us in 2021, as we together serve this present age. We look forward to doing together as one body in Christ.
In love, faith, and prayer,
Hilda D. Gadsden
