We continually remember before our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 1:3

What a joy it is to greet you in faith, love, and prayer. I thank God for each of you.

I want to express my appreciation to the officers, executive board members, committee members, auxiliaries, churches, associations, districts, unions, delegates, pastors, ministers, program participants, and friends of the Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Conventions of South Carolina for your support and cooperation. Your support truly made a difference.

Just weeks since the adjournment of the 134th Annual Session of the Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina in West Columbia, South Carolina; as you can imagine it has been a time of reflection and remembrance, but most of all, it has been a time of extreme gratitude. What a blessed privilege we had during the week of June 13-17, 2022, as we gathered to do kingdom business.

I am most grateful to the co-chairpersons of the Host Committee Mrs. Mary Gillen and Minister Senora Mumford and all Associational Presidents and members of District 6 for their untiring work. Diligence and dedication in preparing and hosting the 134th Annual Session. We are thankful to Reverend Charles B. Jackson, Sr. and the Brookland Baptist Church and Conference Center for the amazing hospitality extend to us as they served and answer the call of our convention's every need.

I am pleased to announce that Mission Project was an immense success in donating 4422 pounds of food to the Harvest Hope Food Bank of Columbia, South Carolina. Without your mission-minded support, we would not have been able to accomplish our mission. We want to be prayerful and supportive of this organization collectively and individually.

My thank and gratitude are extended to President Alexander Johnson and the South Carolina Brotherhood of the Baptist Educational & Missionary Convention of South Carolina for partnering with us in presenting a development workshop and gift bags to the young brothers attending the Youth Department Annual Session. We need each other and we must stay connected as we support our young people.

Again, to each of you, I thank you for your presence and support of our 134th Annual Session of the Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina. God's continuous blessings are my prayer for all of you. Let us, together, offer a commitment to the work ahead, undergirded by faith, prayer, support, and participation.

In His Service,

Dr. Hilda D. Gadsden
