Welcome to the Youth Department

of the Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary

Convention of South Carolina

Minister Xanthine  Gilliard
Youth Director
Nykeisha Guinyard
Youth Department President

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24).

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ!

Our world looks and feels a little different right now, and uncertainty can be stressful.  Life is anything but typical right now.

However, our commitment to you and doing the work of the Lord has not wavered.  Our faith has been tried, our peace has been shaken, but our love stood firm because of our hope in God.  We are still here by the grace of God!  Therefore, every day is a day that the Lord hath made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it. I hope to be one voice of positivity in your life.

Faith, Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

Peace, The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Hope, Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.

Love, Ye that loves the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Alongside our excellent President, Nykeshia Guinyard, I am grateful to have been given the fantastic opportunity to serve the people of God as Director of the Youth Department of the Woman’s Baptist Educational and Missionary Convention of South Carolina.

Our theme for this year is “Learning to Improvise in This Season of Uncertainty.”

I am asking for your continued support to encourage and motivate our youth in all our churches, unions, and associations to join us in making this one of the best years of our convention.

Our mission is to continue to bring the youth of South Carolina together to teach, coach, train, and enhance their knowledge of the Lord.  As a result, our communities will be better equipped to become the places God intended for them to be.

We appreciate all of your support.
